Fantasy Garden

FANTASY GARDEN – Acrylic and Resin on Canvas – 80 x 80 cms – £500

I wanted to paint a picture that reminded me of the ‘Garden of Live Flowers’ in the book by Lewis Caroll (Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There, 1871). The book describes Alice as being in a garden with a large flower-bed. She was astonished when she discovered that the flowers could talk and she proceeded to have a conversation with Tiger-lily and Rose, after they mistook her for a flower that could move. Well, my flowers can’t talk or move, but it was fun imagining it!

This artwork is signed on the back and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
It comes ready to hang and, because it is finished with a coat of high-gloss resin, it does not need to be framed.

Limited edition prints are available. Please do email me for a price, which will depend on the size you require.
