Hello, I’m Sheila Jackson and I paint modern, decorative paintings.

Drawing and painting from an early age, and attending many art courses and classes, I have painted representational art in various mediums for many years, focusing mainly on landscapes or still life.

More recently, I have found an exciting new world of design and creativity in flow art, which is a technique that uses the natural flow of liquid art materials to create an abstract design. In order to achieve this, I use acrylic paint, ink and epoxy resin to create expression and movement in bold colours.

Each artwork usually begins, not with my staring at a blank canvas and wondering what to paint, but as an idea that has already been formed in my head. I live in a beautiful, rural village in North Bedfordshire surrounded by nature and this tends to influence much of my work. Also, I particularly like to paint tropical water but because this is a very difficult subject, which I’m still learning, I would say that bringing my ideas to fruition on the canvas is the biggest challenge.
