Brazil conjures up images of bold, vibrant and visually exciting colours of the flora and fauna of the rainforests and the annual carnival of Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras, meaning Fat Tuesday, is more than just a day. It is an entire season. Carnival season begins on Twelfth Night (6th January) and ends on Fat Tuesday, or Shrove Tuesday.
